Laugh Out Loud

Who doesn't love to laugh? It's a very healthy thing for the body and soul. We laugh alot around our house. We like to tease and have fun, to recall past hilarious moments we've shared, and watch funny movies. Well, anything to share a little bit of laughter.
My dad has quite a sense of humor, and so growing up with that made it quite certain that consciously or subconsciously I would probably marry a man with a unique gift to make me laugh. And, Dave most definitely has that gift. Joey is coming alongside his dad and can get me going in a fit of laughter at any given moment. My mom is pretty funny in her own right and we can get off on a tangent and before you know it we're laughing our heads off. But, their is only one person that can make me laugh so hard I can't breathe. The kind where you are just doubled over, and the tears start to flow. That person is my sister, Michelle. Just the sound of her laughter can get me going. She and I have a history of embarrassing anyone who happens to be around us when we are set off in a fit of laughter. But this weekend, her coveted position was shaken.
Hannah and I were in the kitchen this weekend making a triple chocolate bliss cake, which was really yummy, by the way. And, we happened to come across the recipe box she had filled when she was a much littler girl. Her recipe cards read something like this:
  • Hannah's Mix

Frist you get cany corn. Then you get peanuts. You put the peanuts and cany corn in the bowl.

And then there was this:

  • Hannah's Frosting Marshmallows

Get a bowl, and then you put marshmallows, and then you put frosting on it.

And, here is one of her fave's:

  • Peanut Butter Spoons

Frirst you get a spoon with peanut butter on it and put it is the frezzer. After about 10 to 20 minututs take out and eat! Enjoy!

We laughed about the "inspired" recipes she had created. We laughed about the misspellings. We laughed about the weird stickers she put on the index cards. In fact by the time we were done, my stomach hurt from laughing. So, apparently it looks like Michelle has a rival. And, by the way, Michelle if you're reading this, there's still time for you to redeem yourself. Just call me, you'll know what to say. :)
